It therefore offers firmer, long lasting superior support. The naturally springy core of the Mohair Mat is made from horse tail hair, the longest and most durable fibre in the world. This is then sandwiched together with our organic coir (from the only organic coir plantation in the world) for extra support and breathability.  Our soft Mohair fleece from Angora goats is wrapped around the outside of the horse tail hair and the coir to create a soft and sumptuous top layer.  Mohair is an excellant insulator and ventilator.  All the natural fibres in this mattress are highly breathable and are naturally fire retardant. Natural Mat is the only mattress manufacturer in the UK to pass the British Safety Standards (BS EN597, BS7177) without using any chemical fire retardants which may harm the baby.

The Latex Mat is best known for its anti-allergy properties and also for the superb support that our natural Latex foam offers.  The core of the mattress is made with a breathable natural latex foam which conforms well to body shape and pressure. It is sandwiched together with organic coir from the only organic coir plantation in the world, creating excellant breathability and extra support. Our anti dust-mite Lambswool (treated with Lavender, Lemon and Eucalyptus) is wrapped around the Latex and Coir for insulation during the cold winter months and ventilation during the warm summer months.All our mattresses are naturally fire retardant. We are the only UK manufacturer to pass the British Safety Standards (BS EN597, BS 7177) without using any chemical retardant that may harm the baby.

Our cot bed mattresses are covered in 100% unbleached herringbone cotton covers which can be removed and washed at 60ºC to kill bacteria and dust mites.

This cot bed mattress is the most breathable and organic cot bed mattress available.  The core of the mattress is made from our organic coir which comes from the only organic coir plantation in the world and certified by SKAL Interlnational, one of the worlds more reputable inspection organisations for organic products. The coir fibres are coated in a natural latex solution to maximise breathabilty in the mattress allowing a constant circulation of air under the child whilst they sleep.
   Our unique lambswool is wrapped around the outside of the coir.  The wool is treated with eucalyptus, lemon and lavender which renders the wool anti-dustmite. Wool is also an excellant ventilator and insulator.
   Our cot bed mattresses are covered in 100% unbleached cotton herringbone covers which can be unzipped and machine washed 60ºC to kill bacteria and dust mites.
